Dear Members,

Welcome to our first newsletter! It’s been a long time coming – 16 months since the first of us started talking about a WEAll England Hub during the launch of WEAll Global’s ‘Hubs Guide’ back in May 2024. Our core steering group has settled down to the 6 of us now, with others on hiatus and many more ‘in the team’ as proactive wellwishers and experienced advisors. It has been quite the journey and we’re very excited to see where it goes. We sincerely hope you are able to come with us for the next phase!

A quick note of gratitude right up front, to the WEAll Global team that have been tirelessly supporting, encouraging, guiding, and providing welcome wisdom and suggestions from the beginning. We wouldn’t be here without them, they are beautiful people working hard for what they believe in.

“We envision a world where everyone has enough to live in comfort, safety, and happiness. Where all people feel secure in their basic comforts and can use their creative energies to support the flourishing of all life on this planet. Where we thrive in a restored, safe, and vibrant natural environment because we have learned to give back as much as we are given. A world where we have a voice over our collective destiny and find belonging, meaning and purpose through genuine connection to the people and planet that sustain us.”

WEAll England is now looking forward to welcoming new members – there is no formal process, just sign up or join in with the conversation! Proceeding with the principle of ‘togetherness over agreement’, we will unite in promoting core wellbeing economy principles within England.

Broadly, the plan for the next few months is as follows:

Pre-launch webinar Series

From October onwards we are planning some low-key webinars hosted by select members of the steering group. We hope this will be a gentle introduction for you to get to know us, and to start to identify areas for us all to work on together, as a hub. The planned schedule is:

  • Oct 8th, 4pm ‘Building Wellbeing Communities with Eco-wellbeing Hubs: A Conversation with Trust Links’ with Conor Morris (register at this link)
  • Nov 4th, 12pm ‘Growing Community Wealth’ with Orla McCann (register at this link)
  • Dec 4th, 12pm ‘Psychological Safety – aka the Superpower’ with Dr Vikki Barnes (register at this link)

Further events will be announced by email – sign up to join our contacts list.

Formal Hub Launch

Starting from January 2026 we will be actively promoting WEAll England, timed to coincide with WEAll Global’s ‘Reclaim The Economy’ week of action.

Reclaim The Economy Week of Action

26th January 2026 to 1st February 2026. Led by WEAll Global, WEAll England will of course be providing regional support. Do you have any suggestions for activities that could be coordinated at Hub level? Suggest them on our forum page or email them to England@WEAll.org

Other News

Blog Entries are now being regularly published on the England page of the WEAll Global website. Members are encouraged to propose (and produce) content if there is a topic they would like to draw attention to, or a case study they would like to share.

Working Groups are currently being set up, generally comprising one or two steering-group members and a few invited members. Currently, the proposed list of working groups is:

  • Strategy
  • Wellbeing Economics (including research)
  • Personal wellbeing (including mental health)
  • Comms (including website)
  • Membership (including recruitment and members’ support)
  • Local communities (including local wellbeing initiatives)
  • Narrative

If you are interested in joining one, please email England@WEAll.org with a bit of detail about yourself and how you would like to contribute.

Local Authority Engagement has been initiated thanks to an introduction made by WEAll Global to an individual seconded within a fellowship programme in the north of England.

Grant Funds have been allocated to WEAll England after a short proposal and review process with WEAll Global. Enormously gratefully received, the modest sum will be used to subsidise travel for in-person meetings, and pay for administrative costs such as web hosting or printed media.

Please do get in touch to say hello or share anything that you think the Hub should be aware of. Start a conversation on the forum, or write to us at England@WEAll.org. We’re all volunteers working this around our day jobs, but with your help WEAll England can rise to the challenge of making our part of the world a better place for everyone that lives here.

With our warmest wishes and optimism for the future,

Conor, Nigel, Oliver, Orla, Scherto and Vikki
