This video gives a brief overview of the WEAll Ireland Hub’s recent Deep Dive workshop, ‘Towards a Community of Practice’, that was held in Derry-Londonderry on March 31 and April 1.
We invited a group of 20 people to help launch a Community of Practice (CoP) for artists, creatives and activists dedicated to shifting the public narrative on our economy. The project aims to build the capacity of CoP members to better understand and create new place-based ‘local imaginaries’. These will help inspire people to imagine and work towards a regenerative and equitable future.
The CoP will incorporate the exploration of the island’s diverse landscape of language, communities and alternative socio-ecological narratives.
The workshop was preceded by a public webinar and discussion with Professor Tim Jackson, on the Art of the Wellbeing Economy.
In the course of the two-day deep dive we also had presentations and discussions with two experts on the role of narrative in system change, Sandra Waddock and David Bollier.
