A key part of WEAll is our Global Council (GC) which serves as our governing body, providing strategic advice and guidance to ensure we remain aligned with our mission, values and long-term objectives. Three members of this Council have recently stepped down and on behalf of the Amp Team and the whole organisation, I want to thank them personally for their wonderful support for WEAll in this role. Wendy Ellyatt has been with us since the beginning and has served two terms of three years on the GC.
Wendy, thank you so much for your warmth, your care about the wellbeing of our team, your grasp of why it is not only what we say that matters but how we live our values, and your ability to make connections in wider domains than economics.
Yannick Beaudoin has also served on the GC for two terms. Yannick, thank you so much for your strategic thinking, your ability to challenge us in such an insightful but caring way, your understanding of the world of development, and your indigenous insights.
João Bernardo Casali (JB) has served one term on the GC. JB, thank you so much for bringing an invaluable perspective from the world of business and social enterprise, for innovative thinking on new funding areas , and for your knowledge of and connections in Latin America.
And of course, there is so much more I could thank each of you for!
As well as Leopollo joining me as Co-Chair about which we have shared widely, there are three other new members of the Global Council. I will share more details about each of them in the New Year but for the moment I want this to be a message of huge thanks and gratitude to Wendy, Yannick and JB. They may have left the GC but they will continue to be highly valued members of the WEAll family.
