What is WEAll Iberia? 

WEAll Iberia is the Iberian node (Spain and Portugal) of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll). It is a team of people and organizations whose mission is to connect, coordinate, and promote initiatives related to the Wellbeing Economy in Iberia, creating a critical mass to make it a reality. WEAll Iberia is an inclusive and open space. We aspire to collaborate with all kinds of people who share our principles and to form alliances and networks with like-minded organizations to create projects greater than the sum of their parts. We focus on the 4 Ps of:

1. The Purpose of economics is to provide human and ecological well-being. For example, by implementing a set of measures beyond GDP and developing visionary national plans.
2. Prevention: not content with repairing the damage caused, but preventing it from occurring in the first place. For example, focusing budgets on results for people and the environment and promoting circular production and consumption.
3. Predistribution: To reduce growing inequalities, redistributive policies that correct income differences through taxes and subsidies are insufficient. It is necessary for everyone to have the same opportunities by addressing inequalities at their source (equal access to education, healthcare, culture, etc.). Predistribution does not consist of correcting income differences created by the market, but rather of modifying how the market functions so that it generates less inequality.
4. People power: guarantee the participation of people in decisions and in setting the political agenda. For example, through citizen assemblies and other participatory procedures.
